Superheroes at Valley Children’s!

Calling all superheroes! Valley Children’s Hospital is hosting it’s second annual “Run with the Heroes” 5k Fun Run & Family Walk in partnership with The Autism Center at Fresno State. George’s Pass is a program to improve care and provide a better, more individualized experience for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Named after Valley Children’s George the Giraffe mascot, George’s Pass eases the child’s hospital stay through education, personal tours, hands-on activities and more. The only dedicated pediatric healthcare network and hospital between Los Angeles and the Bay Area, Valley Children’s treats more than 300 children with ASD each year. George’s Pass addresses each child’s specialized needs from the moment they enter the hospital until they are discharged. George’s Pass is the only program of it’s kind in the region and recently expanded hospital-wide in the Fall of 2016, making Valley Children’s an autism-friendly hospital. All proceeds of our event go to the George’s Pass program.
