Video Connections

There are several types of video connections that you can use depending on the inputs on your TV. Pioneer certified trained technicians, are able to quickly identify the best possible connection to fit your TV.

This was the standard for transmitting both audio and video. It’s designed to transmit information as radio frequencies, and sometimes it called RF cable. Coaxial is a name more commonly used, the component that you’re going into with the co-ax, the TV needs to be on channel 3 or 4, to receive the information on the right frequency.

These wires are recognized by three cables yellow for video, red for right audio, white for left audio. For home theater systems there is an orange cable that is used from the component to the Dolby Digital 5.1 sound on your stereo receiver’s digital decoder.

These three high resolution output cables are a step up from the RCA and co-ax cables mentioned prior. By separating five color components and work together as one.  This creates a superior picture quality in standard definition as well as High Definitions sets.

This is the newest type of connection. HDMI is capable of carrying High Definition Video, Blu ray, and 3D, and up to eight channels of high definition audio into a single cable.
